SPIRIT and FOOD

 Galatians 5:1

King James Version

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty 

wherewith Christ hath made us free, 

and be not entangled again 

with the yoke of bondage.

There is something powerful going on right now.

We shall address it, through the SPIRIT of GOD Who guides me.

Three days ago, we wrote an article on "AREAS of vulnerability".

"FOOD" happened to be the first subject we expounded on.

There were seven other "areas".

But strangely SPIRIT led me to food as top of the list.

Very, very strange indeed.

That's why I need to explore it here.

Certainly, the world is beholden to food.

In terms of greed, gluttony, pride, plenty, and vanity.

We mentioned in that post:

"Many are fixated, and preoccupied, with food."

In another article, we wrote:

"We gorge on food, and skimp on GOD.

We have become a world of gluttons."

My dear pastor friend happened to read "AREAS of vulnerability".

Yesterday, he gave his observations:

"Satan used food as tool for first temptation."

"He also used food to tempt Jesus in the desert."

I was overjoyed with his astute observations.

So I said, perhaps I'll add those to that article.

But a new article seemed more appropriate.

For I needed to look deeper into it myself.

Guided by my friend's observations, I searched Scripture.

And found these -- 

Satan used food to tempt Eve:

Genesis 3:1-13

3 Now the serpent was more subtil 

than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. 

And he said unto the woman, 

Yea, hath God said, 

Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, 

We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree 

which is in the midst of the garden, 

God hath said, 

Ye shall not eat of it, 

neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, 

Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, 

then your eyes shall be opened, 

and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw 

that the tree was good for food, 

and that it was pleasant to the eyes, 

and a tree to be desired to make one wise, 

she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, 

and gave also unto her husband with her; 

and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, 

and they knew that they were naked; 

and they sewed fig leaves together, 

and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God 

walking in the garden in the cool of the day: 

and Adam and his wife hid themselves 

from the presence of the Lord God 

amongst the trees of the garden.

9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, 

and said unto him, 

Where art thou?

10 And he said, 

I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, 

because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 And he said, 

Who told thee that thou wast naked? 

Hast thou eaten of the tree, 

whereof I commanded thee 

that thou shouldest not eat?

12 And the man said, 

The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, 

she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, 

What is this that thou hast done? 

And the woman said, 

The serpent beguiled me, 

and I did eat.

Satan tried to tempt our LORD JESUS with food:

Matthew 4:1-4

4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit 

into the wilderness 

to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, 

he was afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, 

he said, 

If thou be the Son of God, 

command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, 

It is written, 

Man shall not live by bread alone, 

but by every word that proceedeth 

out of the mouth of God.

Of course, Satan was stumped.

He doesn't always have an answer for everything.

Only JESUS can end ALL debate.

And that's what always makes me smile.

Knowing the POWER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

If Satan tried tempting the LORD, what makes us think we're not putty in Satan's hand?

That we'd be easy prey.

We're but humans.

Subject to the frailties of flesh, and appetite.

Armed with the wrong notions about food, and survival.

From the looks of it, Satan has succeeded in tempting us.

Astoundingly, through a simple concept as food.

Mountains, and mountains, of food.

Look at all the food-based businesses the world has.

And corollary industries that go with it.

Health-related issues arise from all that gluttony.

And yet a large part of the world goes hungry.

Can you see how diabolical it all is?

Literally, and figuratively, a feeding-frenzy upon humans.

Feeding on the lusts and desires of our flesh.

Feeding on our ignorance of his wiles.

As he destroys our bodies, he destroys our souls.

With no one the wiser, unless you're born again.

Note, too, how many industries cater to the whims of the rich.

But the poor are forgotten, and remain marginalized.

They are tolerated, but not loved.

They are not VIPs at the table.

If remembered, it's mostly for tax-exemption purposes.

Or for some propaganda for a so-called cause.

And always, for the benefit of the rich.

The day the poor are loved, and fed graciously and generously, is the day CHRIST lives in us.

The day no one starves in any part of the world, is the day we truly love each other.

The day we go beyond this lust for food, is the day we understand this verse:

John 6:35

King James Version

35 And Jesus said unto them, 

I am the bread of life: 

he that cometh to me shall never hunger; 

and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Let us refuse to be addicted to food.

1 Corinthians 6:12

King James Version

12 All things are lawful unto me, 

but all things are not expedient: 

all things are lawful for me, 

but I will not be brought under 

the power of any.

Instead, let all we do, be for GOD's GLORY alone.

1 Corinthians 10:31

King James Version

31 Whether therefore ye eat, 

or drink, 

or whatsoever ye do, 

do all to the glory of God.

How to IDENTIFY cults

 

JESUS warns:

Matthew 15:14

King James Version

14 Let them alone: 

they be blind leaders of the blind. 

And if the blind lead the blind, 

both shall fall into the ditch.

Surely, you've heard of cults.

How members are asked to follow blindly.

How perversion goes on in the organizations.

How people surrender their will to the "master".

How its leaders enjoy fame, fortune, and followership.

How leaders love to be worshiped.

How members give up their lives when their "master" says so.

How parents can't even recognize their own child anymore.

It need not be a religious cult, to be a cult.

The world does have terms like "cult-following".

Or "cult-like status".

Such words are bandied about carelessly.

In art, business, culture, tech, and entertainment.

Just so you know, all that is idolatry.

Yesterday, SPIRIT called my attention to a cult-like organization.

At least, after doing some research, it felt like one to me.

Started in the early 90s from the east.

Propagated in the west.

Massive tri-media exposure.

Seamless operation.

And people have bought into it.

On the pretext you'll be hale, happy, and healthy.

Seemed harmless, but was it, really?

Part of me wanted to explore it more.

To look deeper into the links.

But clearly, it was cult-like.

Do I talk more about cults?

Or shall I tell you about GOD's laws instead?

The latter intent won out.

As born again, I live by Scripture.

I am here to write, worship, and warn.

Here's how you can gauge if you have unknowingly joined a cult.

It defies the LORD's commands:

Exodus 20:2-4

2 I am the Lord thy God, 

which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, 

out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, 

or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, 

or that is in the earth beneath, 

or that is in the water under the earth.

Mark 10:18

18 And Jesus said unto him, 

Why callest thou me good? 

there is none good but one, 

that is, God.

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, 

I am the way, the truth, and the life: 

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

for one is your Master, even Christ;

JESUS never called attention to Himself.

His ministry was ALWAYS for the GLORY of GOD.

John 17:4

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: 

I have finished the work 

which thou gavest me to do.

John 17:6

King James Version

6 I have manifested thy name unto the men 

which thou gavest me out of the world: 

thine they were, and thou gavest them me; 

and they have kept thy word.

John 17:7-8

7 Now they have known that all things 

whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8 For I have given unto them 

the words which thou gavest me; 

and they have received them, 

and have known surely that I came out from thee, 

and they have believed that thou didst send me.

That, in sharp contrast to the world's cults.

Which always call attention to self, and their leaders.

With leaders getting rich, and famous, through you.

JESUS leads us to eternal life.

He leads us back to GOD.

He leads us to salvation.

Cults lead us to death, and destruction.

Therein are the marked differences.

The world is full of pits, and falls.

Only through Scripture, can you know what's right.

Only through SPIRIT, can you be taught about JESUS.

Only through JESUS, can we be saved.

Only by being born again, can we know all these.

CHAMPIONING the CAUSE of the CHILD

 

The LORD JESUS said:

Matthew 5:8

King James Version

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: 

for they shall see God.

What makes a child "normal"?

Well, if allowed to, children have these traits:

They're naturally happy.

Playful.

Resilient.

Buoyant.

Creative.

Innocent.

Trusting.

Forever hungry.

Most importantly?

They have no grand sense of importance.

They have no thoughts of murder.

They have no thoughts of revenge.

They only have thoughts of play.

Or recess.

Where they can run with their classmates.

Where they can eat, and roam free.

It's a weird kid who thinks of world domination.

Or of gender modification.

What has made a child think that way?

I did say, "if allowed to", children grow up normally.

But the world doesn't allow kids to be kids.

Look to the world now.

It's gone demonic.

Rather, it's always been.

But now, it's on full rampage.

It's full of hatred for the kid.

Kids are the current tools to throw back at GOD.

All because GOD loves them so.

Every means is being used to destroy our children.

We were all once kids.

Along the way, we lose this love, joy, peace, and innocence.

The very traits of a natural, normal child.

Sadly, many were never allowed a normal childhood.

Many come from dysfunctional families.

Many come from dysfunctional societies.

Many come from wounded parents.

Who also came from wounded parents.

You realize the propagation of such "wounds".

It never gets healed, until the MAGNIFICENT Healer was sent:

Luke 5:31-32

31 And Jesus answering said unto them, 

They that are whole need not a physician; 

but they that are sick.

32 I came not to call the righteous, 

but sinners to repentance.

The world is definitely abnormal.

It belongs to the enemy of CHRIST.

I just realized I wrote about him four years ago.

Just as I shared you that link.

That's how long I've been warning you about him.

We've looked into his devices.

He corrupts our thinking.

He corrupts our bodies.

He captures our souls.

But something can save us.

Being born again teaches us to become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, 

he is a new creature: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, 

all things are become new.

All because born agains are taught by the SPIRIT of GOD.

John 3:3-7

King James Version

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again, 

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, 

How can a man be born when he is old? 

can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, 

and be born?

5 Jesus answered, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, 

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; 

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, 

Ye must be born again.

If you're born again, you know the POWER of SPIRIT.

You sure don't mess around with SPIRIT.

Oh boy, you don't.

Ever heard of the "unforgivable sin"?

All my blogs are from SPIRIT.

Night and day, we write.

He makes me understand verses.

Purely, perfectly, and precisely.

He teaches me to write these warnings.

As workman, I'm here to protect children.

We protect the little ones, the voiceless ones, the defenseless ones.

Woe to anyone who doesn't.

JESUS makes sure of that.

Matthew 18:4-7

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself 

as this little child, 

the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive 

one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend 

one of these little ones which believe in me, 

it were better for him 

that a millstone were hanged about his neck, 

and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7 Woe unto the world because of offences! 

for it must needs be that offences come; 

but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Wake up, dear brothers and sisters!

Let us protect the little ones.

Let us also remember the forgotten child.

Which lives in each one of us.

Let that "little one" live!

As JESUS would want us to.

P.S. 

I woke up really early this morning.

With the idea to write something about "humility". 

But SPIRIT had other ideas.

So, He let me weave the article.

First, through verses.

And ended championing the CAUSE of the CHILD.

That's how SPIRIT works with a born again.

It's always a step at a time.

The goal is always towards love for GOD, JESUS, and you.

Especially the little children.

Making sure their purity and innocence are preserved.

That's the battlecry for us warriors for CHRIST.

JESUS and sinners

 

JESUS said heaven rejoices 

over ONE sinner who repents:

Luke 15:7

7 I say unto you, 

that likewise joy shall be in heaven 

over one sinner that repenteth, 

more than over ninety and nine just persons, 

which need no repentance.

Do you know how much JESUS loves us?

Do you know how much sinners matter to Him?

Never mind if He's criticized for it:

Luke 15:1-2

15 Then drew near unto him 

all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, 

saying, 

This man receiveth sinners, 

and eateth with them.

As always, the LORD teaches in parables.

Luke 15:3-6

King James Version

3 And he spake this parable unto them, 

saying,

4 What man of you, 

having an hundred sheep, 

if he lose one of them, 

doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, 

and go after that which is lost, 

until he find it?

5 And when he hath found it, 

he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

6 And when he cometh home, 

he calleth together his friends and neighbours, 

saying unto them, 

Rejoice with me; 

for I have found my sheep 

which was lost.

saw him eat with publicans and sinners, 

they said unto his disciples, 

How is it that he eateth and drinketh 

with publicans and sinners?

17 When Jesus heard it, 

he saith unto them, 

They that are whole have no need of the physician, 

but they that are sick: 

I came not to call the righteous, 

but sinners to repentance.

Luke 19:10

10 For the Son of man is come to seek 

and to save that which was lost.

John 3:16-17

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world, 

that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world 

to condemn the world; 

but that the world through him 

might be saved.

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,

If you are a sinner, you are not unusual.

Who isn't?

We're all sinners.

But do we have to remain as one?

We are to have compassion for each other.

For the weakness of our flesh.

For the flightiness of our souls.

JESUS teaches compassion:

ye shall be judged: 

and with what measure ye mete, 

it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote 

that is in thy brother's eye,

Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; 

and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, 

first cast out the beam out of thine own eye;

Every day we're still on earth, is pure GRACE.

We can only thank the LORD, for His mercy.

It's time to get right with the LORD now.

For a purpose JESUS made clear.

The RAPTURE can happen, any moment.

Even as we speak.

Matthew 24:39-42

39 And knew not until the flood came, 

and took them all away; 

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; 

the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; 

the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: 

for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Mark 1:15

15 And saying, 

The time is fulfilled, 

and the kingdom of God is at hand: 

repent ye, 

and believe the gospel.

How many more reminders do we need?

Every sinner matters.

We are all matter, thus, we sin.

It's now time to be born again.

That we may be of GOD's SPIRIT.

John 3:3-7

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again, 

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, 

How can a man be born when he is old? 

can he enter the second time

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

From sinhood, to sainthood?

It is possible.

ONLY through JESUS.

Those who HINDER

 

1 Corinthians 2:4-5

King James Version

4 And my speech and my preaching 

was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, 

but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand 

in the wisdom of men, 

but in the power of God.

I experienced great difficulty in creating this 62nd blog.

Having three false starts, in three days, I deleted all those three blogs, and posts.

Even before that, I felt my strength ebbing.

"Something" was hindering me from sharing with you the FALSE teachings verses.

Do you believe spiritual work can be hindered?

Do you believe there is such a thing as spiritual warfare?

Prophet Daniel had his own testimony about that.

Daniel 10:1-14

10 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia 

a thing was revealed unto Daniel, 

whose name was called Belteshazzar; 

and the thing was true, 

but the time appointed was long: 

and he understood the thing, 

and had understanding of the vision.

2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

3 I ate no pleasant bread, 

neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, 

neither did I anoint myself at all, 

till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, 

as I was by the side of the great river, 

which is Hiddekel;

5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, 

and looked, 

and behold a certain man clothed in linen, 

whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

6 His body also was like the beryl, 

and his face as the appearance of lightning,

and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: 

for the men that were with me saw not the vision; 

but a great quaking fell upon them, 

so that they fled to hide themselves.

8 Therefore I was left alone, 

and saw this great vision, 

and there remained no strength in me: 

for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, 

and I retained no strength.

9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: 

and when I heard the voice of his words, 

then was I in a deep sleep on my face, 

and my face toward the ground.

10 And, behold, 

an hand touched me, 

which set me upon my knees 

and upon the palms of my hands.

11 And he said unto me, 

O Daniel, 

a man greatly beloved, 

understand the words that I speak unto thee, 

and stand upright: 

for unto thee am I now sent. 

And when he had spoken this word unto me, 

I stood trembling.

12 Then said he unto me, 

Fear not, Daniel: 

for from the first day 

that thou didst set thine heart to understand, 

and to chasten thyself before thy God, 

thy words were heard, 

and I am come for thy words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia 

withstood me one and twenty days: 

but, lo, Michael, 

one of the chief princes, 

came to help me; 

and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

14 Now I am come to make thee understand 

what shall befall thy people in the latter days: 

for yet the vision is for many days.

Daniel 10:20-21

20 Then said he, 

Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? 

and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: 

and when I am gone forth, 

lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

21 But I will shew thee 

that which is noted in the scripture of truth: 

and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, 

but Michael your prince.

Evil is real.

But take heart, JESUS is incomparably greater.

1 John 4:4

4 Ye are of God, 

little children, 

and have overcome them: 

because greater is he that is in you, 

than he that is in the world.
